Description - Hostel

Vicky's Keys is a family operated Hostel combined with Bed & Breakfast services.
Here you will experience our unique 'Stay among the locals' concept.

Guests can arrange lodging for a single bed, a room, a studio apartment or an entire apartment block for groups. Besides our free parking spaces the premises has several gardens where herbs, vegetables and fruit grows.

We serve breakfast everyday at our Cafe. Furthermore we have a patio with outdoor shower, BBQ area, three Mixed dorms and two Luxury studios. Besides the featured usual luxury amenities you have the choice to experience pure Caribbean self sufficient living.
Visit us and we’ll assist you with discovering Vicky's Keys and the island of St. Maarten.

Room amenities

Guest can book a Dorm Bed or Private Dorm Room or a Private Studio. Our dorms can accommodate 1 up to 4 persons per dormitory. Each dorm has designed lockers, a shared bathroom, toilet, are equipped with fan, A/C, and fully equipped kitchen. The Private Dorm Rooms can accommodate 2 persons max. It has their own lockers, fan and A/C but the bathroom and toilet and kitchen is shared. The Private Studio can accommodate 2 persons max. It is equipped with fan, A/C, own bathroom, toilet and kitchen. We supply sheets. Hostel guests are expected to supply bathing products. However we do sell bath & grooming products in the event you ran out or forgot them home.

Neighborhood

On St. Maarten in the district Sucker Garden in the village The Keys lies a little property called 'Vicky's Keys'. Currently the ONLY Eco focused Hostel on St. Maarten! Not only at Vicky's Keys you can experience real island living. It's also an affordable way to experience the easy way of life while staying among the local Caribbean. You should not be surprised if you are awakened by the roosters in the morning, or you suddenly see a herd of goats passing by, hear the cows lowing or even a donkey paying our yard a visit. This is all part of the daily and rural life in "The Keys".

How to get there

Directions by Car

Vicky's Keys is approximately a 20 minute drive from Princess Juliana International Airport. Straight across Philipsburg you will find the suburb called Sucker Garden. To reach our location you will have drive to Sucker Garden passing Philipsburg.

Coming from Philipsburg on the Sucker Garden road:

On your left: you'll pass the Gas station.
On your right: you'll pass the Guana Bay road.
Drive until you see on your right a Super Market named 'Fresh Pond'. Or the sign “Welcome to Sucker Garden”.
Then take the first road on your right called Kings of the Sea road.
Make a right turn, you'll be driving on a bank, continue driving to the 3rd bridge.
Turn left at the 3rd bridge and continue driving.
On your right: pass the street called Sedums Cactus road.
Continue driving until you see on your left the signs “Vicky's Keys and @Vicky's Café”.
Make a left turn at this sign and you'll see a parking lot.
You have arrived at Vicky's Keys.

Public Transportation / Gypsy

Public Transportation from the Airport/Harbor stops in Philipsburg and unfortunately does not continue to our little village - The Keys in Sucker Garden.

From Princes Juliana International Airport - right accros the airport you can catch the public mini busses that are going to Philipsburg. The bus fare would be about US$ 2. 00. Arriving in Philipsburg get out at the end of Cannegieter street infront of AFOO supermarket. Here you will be able to get a Gypsy (illegal taxi @ US$ 1. 00) which can drop you at Sucker Garden main road at the Kings of The Sea road entrance. From there you can walk into the Keys village by following our Vicky's Keys signs.

Some Gypsy's would know our location and would offer to drop you at our front door in The Keys @ US$ 2. 00. Unfortunately not every Gypsy know us cause they are mostly newly arrived 'illegal' foreigners from Haiti or Santo Domingo who are trying to make a living by transporting. : )
