Comments  (English):
I will confess to being a little bit too enamored of a quiet night's sleep, while still sometimes staying in inexpensive, hostel-like places. So hopefully that confession of perhaps unrealistic expectations will serve as a "their side" of the story.

But I found this place quite noisy just outside my room at night when I was trying to go to sleep. Someone was playing with their child right outside my door, and the child was quite a yeller, as children are and should be when they are having fun. I went downstairs to ask the woman who was running the place if there was an upcoming hour, say, 10 o'clock?, in which it was considered official bed time and when I could anticipate quiet. I certainly understand that many travellers don't try to go to bed quite as early as I do. She said there was no such hour, and furthermore, all guests have the freedom to do what they want. She seemed to be mad at me that I would even expect such harsh, fascistic behavior on her part if I expected her to enforce some kind of official quiet hour policy. We almost got into an argument on the spot, but I held my tongue, and checked out the next day. I found the other staff people friendly and helpful the next day, and felt obliged and willing to pay for the night I was cancelling at the last minute.

So, my complaint: One rude, unsympathetic staff person, which is a pretty big deal for me because that's the main reason I choose a place in a challenging place like Peru--good reviews indicating helpful staff.
