ABOUT US:

Sun Venture Tours Limited is a registered Tour Company with over 20 years experience in exposing locals and visitors to the wonderful heritage that is Jamaica. We do this with an unswerving commitment to the protection of this heritage, its real and potential value to our country and the rest of the world.

We encourage you to join in this commitment by helping to protect the places you visit while on our tours.

BLUE MOUNTAINS WILDERNESS RETREAT: The Blue Mountains Wilderness Retreat "BMWR" is the only wilderness retreat of its kind on the island and is the forerunner in the creation of a new niche in the island’s tourism/accommodation sector. It is managed as a nature reserve and special care is taken to minimize impact of visitors on the natural ecology of the site as it represents the centre of the product being marketed.

From this wedding of culture and the environment the company proposes to make Blue Mountains Wilderness Retreat "BMWR" the island’s number one Wilderness retreat, with an emphasis on it being a place to relax, recreate and reflect on new and progressive ideas of positive change.

The BMWR Retreat is also being developed to play a critical role in the new marketing strategy of the company which embraces the following initiatives:

1. Development of Wilderness Backing and Adventure Hikes – serving as the jump off point for several new or reorganize tour packages under the theme of Wilderness Backpacking Adventures.
The company intends to strengthen its position in the market by making its product more unique enhancing its competitive edge by the addition of the hard core adventure element to its already popular nature and heritage themes.

Ok But the product must be accurately described, it is Not Bangor Ridge, that's the name of the surrounding community, here is the Marketing context: The BMWR is the only wilderness retreat of its kind on the island and is the forerunner in the creation of a new niche in the island’s tourism/accommodation sector. It is managed as a nature reserve and special care is taken to minimize impact of visitors on the natural ecology of the site as it represents the centre of the product being marketed.
